One of the most magical features in GB Patch Games' titles is the Voiced Name System. Thanks to generous Kickstarter backers, voice actors for Tamarack and Qiu have recorded audio clips for over 1,600 unique first names.
Use the live search filter below to look up popular names, verify phonetic matches, and see how the game adapts if you choose a custom or fantasy name.
Tamarack: “Hey, Alex! Race you to the top of the tire swing!”
❓ What If My Exact Name Isn't Voiced?
Do not worry if your specific spelling or rare name is not among the 1,600+ recorded files! GB Patch Games designed an elegant fallback system:
If your name is spelled "Aeryn" or "Jordyn", the game will match the vocal files for "Aaron" or "Jordan".
You can set custom nicknames (e.g. "Scout", "Ace", "Red", "Kiddo") that Tamarack and Qiu will use with intimate affection.
In voice-acted moments, characters smoothly substitute generic natural phrasing ("Hey you!", "Hey friend!") without awkward silent gaps.
